We are so blessed with an amazing group of people that help out at Crigger Farm. Crigger Farm would not be able to operate without this crew! Here's a sneak peak behind the scenes at who's doing all the honey production work, that is, after the bees actually make the honey!

Meet Max! When he's not playing football or baseball, you might be able to catch Max filling and labeling honey bears or jars, straining honey or stirring a 60 lb. pot of Pecan creamed honey! He makes it look so easy...
Our Pecan Creamed honey is our one-of-a-kind blend of Crigger Farm Creamed Honey and ground pecans. That's it, no other additives. We first start with the creamed honey, then add the pecans. When you have 60 lbs. of it in one pot, you need some muscle power to get it mixed - too big a job for conventional mixers!
His favorite Crigger Farm product? Peanut Butter & Honey Fluff. Good for building strong muscles!

Here's Karen. She takes care of filling all the farmer's market and retail orders. She also checks for any imperfections in the packaged product before packing it up for delivery. She manages pediatric research by day and Crigger Farm honey products by night!
Karen's favorite Crigger Farm product? She likes tasting all the different honey varietals. She said that she never knew that different harvests of honey could have so many different tastes.

Here's Jake, another football player, able to lift 60 lb. buckets in each hand! You can usually find him straining the honey, usually 4 buckets at a time.
At Crigger Farm, we do a very coarse strain on our honey. We call it taking out the "bee debris", the occasional bee wing or leg that sometimes get caught in the honey. We are very careful to leave in as many of the other particles as possible. That extra pollen and pieces of propolis are so essential in providing all the health benefits of honey.

Here's Megen! She's Matt's sister and knows how to do just about everything in the production kitchen, and even at the market! Anybody would have a tough time trying to keep up with her, whatever the job.
All of our products are hand crafted and labeled to give them that extra special personal touch. Each jar is sanitized, inspected and shined up to make each jar glisten, making the golden goodness inside look almost magical.
Megen's favorite Crigger Farm product is also the Fluff! You don't see her muscles, but she's got quite a grip when it comes to tightening those lids!

Meet the beekeeper, Keith! Well, actually, you can't see him because of the bee suit, but he's behind the mask, inspecting one of the frames from one of the Crigger Farm bee hives.
All of our honey comes from Northern Kentucky. We maintain 7 different locations of apiaries. Keith is always on the move! His favorite product - all of them! He especially loves taste testing new products. He loves his honey!

Meet Lori, the other half of the husband / wife duo of Crigger Farm. I get to come up with the recipes for our products that Keith has to taste test! And, I get to write blogs and tell you how much we appreciate all the help. There have been so many that have contributed in big and small ways. Not enough time or blog space to do them all justice.
Looking forward to our next adventures! Wonder who will be helping in our future?
